Uncivil War

from Wikimedia Commons

Red stained blue, red stained gray,

stony graves, row on row on row,

broken families, scorched land,

and on this April morning

at Appomattox in Virginia,

one hundred and fifty years ago,

two men, a pen, paper,

a handshake.

The end.
